Troubleshooting & FAQs
A guest cannot RSVP
The deadline, the guest cap, the wrong link, or a password on the page.
What it is
The handful of reasons an RSVP form refuses a guest, and how to fix each one.
When to use it
When a guest tells you the link does not work.
Who can use it
The event owner.
Where to find it
- Open the event → RSVP Forms → Settings
Step by step
Open the link yourself in a private browser window. Seeing what they see settles it in seconds.
If it says the form is closed, check the RSVP deadline in the form settings and extend it.
If it says the event is full, check the maximum-guests cap and raise it, or enable the waitlist.
If it asks for a password, that is the event page access mode. Send them the password, or change the mode.
If it shows nothing at all, the form is unsaved or the event's link name has changed. Save the form, then copy the link again.
Send the guest the freshly copied link.
What you should end up with
If something goes wrong
- It works for me but not for them.
- You are signed in, which can bypass an access restriction. Always test in a private window.
- A sub-event says it is at capacity.
- That part of the event is full. Raise its capacity — the guest can still reply to the other parts meanwhile.
- They replied but I cannot see it.
- They may have replied under a different name or email, creating a separate entry. Search the whole list for a near-match.
