Keeping your account and your guests safe
What we do, what you should do, and which links to treat as keys.
What it is
The practical security guidance for someone running an event on this platform.
When to use it
Before you share your first link, and any time something looks off.
Who can use it
Anyone.
Where to find it
What you should end up with
You know which links matter, and what a genuine message from us will never ask for.
What we do
- Card details are entered on our payment processor's own secure page. We never see or store your card number.
- Guest data belongs to your event and is not shared between accounts.
- Check-in device links and guest activity links are time-limited and scoped to one purpose.
What you should do
- Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
- Treat a check-in device link like a key — anyone holding it can check guests in.
- Treat a quote or invoice link as personal — the holder can act on it.
- Use a password on your event page if it shows a home address.
- Be careful where you store a guest export. It contains other people's personal data.
We will never ask for your password or card number
Not by email, not by phone, not in chat. If a message claiming to be from us asks for either, it is not from us — contact support through the site.
If something goes wrong
- I think someone else has access to my account.
- Change your password immediately, then contact support.
- I shared a check-in link with the wrong person.
- Deactivate that device in Check-In Setup and register a new one.
