Roles, and who can see what
The difference between a host, a guest and a staff account, in plain terms.
What it is
A short explanation of the kinds of account and what each can reach.
When to use it
When you are wondering whether a guest can see something, or why a menu item is missing.
Who can use it
Anyone.
Where to find it
What you should end up with
You can predict what a guest will see before you send them a link.
- You, the host
- Full control of the events you create — guests, budget, orders, pages. You cannot see anyone else's events.
- Your guests
- No account needed. They see the event page and RSVP form you publish, and any activity link you send them. They never see your dashboard, your budget or your other guests' details.
- Platform staff
- Our team, who can reach events in order to support you and to deliver Concierge and Premier work. Staff-only screens are not visible to customer accounts.
Why a menu item might be missing
Menus show what your account can actually use. If something described here is absent, it is usually one of three things: it belongs to a plan you are not on for that event, it is a staff-only screen, or the feature is not switched on in this deployment.
