Account & Privacy

Delete your account

Request deletion, what happens immediately, and the grace period before it is permanent.

On this page

What it is

A request to remove your account. It is deactivated immediately, and fully removed after a grace period during which you can change your mind.

When to use it

When you are finished with the service and want your data gone.

Who can use it

You, for your own account.

Where to find it

Before you start

  • Download anything you want to keep first — see Download a copy of your data.
  • Settle or cancel anything outstanding. Deleting your account does not cancel an order.

Step by step

  1. Export your data from Privacy & your data.

  2. On the same page, choose Delete account and confirm.

  3. Your account is deactivated at once — you are signed out and cannot sign back in normally.

  4. If you change your mind during the grace period, use Reactivate.

  5. After the grace period, the removal is permanent.

What you should end up with

Immediate deactivation, a window to reverse it, and then permanent removal.

Financial records are kept

Payments, invoices and quotes must be retained for legal and accounting reasons. Your personal details on those records are anonymised, but the transactions themselves remain. Everything else — events, guests, generated content — is removed.

Common mistakes

  • Deleting the account to stop marketing email. Turn marketing consent off instead — it is on the same page.
  • Deleting before exporting. Once the grace period ends there is nothing to export.
  • Assuming deletion cancels a paid order. It does not — cancel the order separately.

If something goes wrong

I deleted my account by mistake.
Use Reactivate while you are still inside the grace period.
I cannot sign in after requesting deletion.
That is intended — the account is deactivated at the moment you request it. Reactivate it if you want back in.
There is no Delete account option.
The self-serve screen is switched on per deployment. Where it is not, contact us and we will action the deletion for you.
