Credits and generation limits
Each generation spends a credit; you get a monthly allowance, and a failure is refunded.
What it is
A monthly credit allowance that generation tools spend. Text generation costs one credit; generating an image costs three. Allowances differ by plan, and unused credits do not roll over.
When to use it
When you want to know what a generation costs, or why a tool says you are out.
Who can use it
Any signed-in user. The size of the allowance depends on your plan.

You can see how many credits you have left and what they are being spent on.

A failure costs you nothing
If a generation fails, the credit is returned. If you are charged for something that did not produce a result, contact support and we will put it back.
Common mistakes
- Generating images repeatedly to fine-tune a detail — each attempt is three credits. Refine the brief first.
- Expecting credits to roll over. They reset each month.
If something goes wrong
- I have run out of credits.
- Wait for the monthly reset, or upgrade the event to Concierge for a larger allowance. Where extra credits are available to buy, the subscription page will offer them.
- A credit was taken but I got nothing.
- Failures are refunded automatically. If your balance still looks wrong an hour later, contact support with the time it happened.
