Design a cake
Describe the cake you want, see it visualised, and turn it into a real order.
What it is
A design tool for cakes. You choose the shape, tiers, flavours, colours and style, and get a visualisation and a specification you can send to a baker — or order through us.
When to use it
When you know roughly what you want but cannot draw it, or when a baker has asked you for a brief.
Who can use it
Anyone can use the public designer. Saving a design and ordering needs an account.
Where to find it
Step by step
Open the Cake Designer.
Set the basics: how many people it must feed, how many tiers, and the occasion.
Choose flavours and a style — colours, finish, decoration.
Review the visualisation.
Save the design, or order it. Ordering a custom design goes to our team for a price before anything is charged.
What you should end up with
Common mistakes
- Designing for the number of guests rather than the number who will eat cake. Not everyone does.
- Expecting the visualisation to be a photograph of the finished cake. It communicates the design; the baker builds it.
If something goes wrong
- The design will not save.
- You need to be signed in to save. Sign in, then design again — or copy the specification out before you leave the page.
- I ordered a custom design and there is no price.
- That is expected. A custom design is priced by our team first. See Order a cake.
