What each order status means
A plain-English reading of the statuses you will see on quotes, bookings, rentals and cake orders.
What it is
A reference for the words the product uses to describe where an order has got to.
When to use it
When a status is not self-explanatory and you want to know whether you need to do something.

Anyone.
Where to find it
What you should end up with
You can read any order screen and know whether the next move is yours.
| Status | What it means | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | We have your order and are looking at it. | Nothing. |
| Quoted | A price is ready for you. | Review and approve it. |
| Declined | The order will not go ahead. | Nothing, or order again. |
| Awaiting deposit / payment | Approved; we are waiting for money. | Pay to hold your date. |
| Confirmed | Paid and booked in. | Nothing. |
| In production | It is being made. | Nothing. |
| Ready | Finished and waiting. | Collect it, or wait for delivery. |
| Out for delivery | On its way. | Be there to receive it. |
| Fulfilled | Handed over. | Settle any balance. |
| Completed | Finished and fully paid. | Optionally leave feedback. |
| Cancelled / Refunded | It ended early; any refund is recorded. | Nothing. |
An order never advances just because you were redirected
Payment status changes when our payment processor confirms the money, not when your browser returns from the payment page. That is why a status can lag by a minute — and why closing the tab early does not lose your payment.
