Account & Privacy
Choose what we email you about
Turn notification types on or off, and separate the essential from the optional.
What it is
Controls for the messages we send. Transactional messages — an order confirmation, a password reset, an RSVP notification — are part of using the service. Marketing email is separate and entirely optional.
When to use it
When you are getting too much, or missing something you wanted.
Who can use it
You, for your own account.
Where to find it
Step by step
Open Settings and find Notifications.
Turn each category on or off.
Save.
Marketing consent is managed separately, under Privacy & data.
What you should end up with
You get the messages you want and not the ones you do not.
Some messages cannot be turned off
Password resets, payment receipts and order confirmations are part of the transaction. They are not marketing, and there is no opt-out — you need them.
Common mistakes
- Turning everything off and then missing an RSVP or a payment notice.
- Marking our transactional email as spam, which stops receipts arriving too.
If something goes wrong
- I am still getting email after turning it off.
- Check whether it is transactional — those are not covered by notification preferences. Marketing email is switched off under Privacy & data.
- I am not getting any email.
- Check spam, and confirm the address on your profile is right. Some corporate mail systems block outside senders.
